Tell Mad Cow what you think … send her a testimonial

Mad Cow writes a very funny blog that all parents can relate to. I know that whenever I drop in to catch up I will end up in stitches (of laughter!) and head off to my day with a smile on my face. Thankfully, here is someone who tells it like it is.

"All I can say is you make mothering fun and exciting! Of course we are no longer afraid to give fruit loops for dinner put our little ones in the bath just to eat ice-cream! When I am having a bad day it makes me feel not so alone in the jungle of mothering and that we are all not perfect and we can do mothering our own way without the need for guilt over what we could do better. Its inspirational words that make me piss my pants everytime i read the adventures of Mad Cow and her family! Will be my bible for a long time to come as my children grow and we add more additions to our family!"

I first discovered Diary of a Mad Cow about two years ago. At the time I was a single parent of two much loved but very frustrating kids. The first post I read made me feel as if a huge weight had lifted. There on the screen was someone deliberately showing that this 'mum' job isn't fun and fluff and hugs all around. A hell of a lot of it is stupid, and mind-numbing, and annoying, and yet we still do it.
That night I actually read every post on the blog, in order. And I have not missed one since.
So thank you Mad Cow, for the funny bits, the wtf? bits, and ALL the bits that remind me it is okay to have a day I would like to do-over - and admit that!
You have helped me remember to look for the funny side of my parenting journey :)

I love reading Mad Cows Diary. It always makes me giggle as many of the things she comments on are so true and it makes me feel better that these weird and whacky things are happening in other households as well as mine. Any time I need a quick pick me up I will pop on and read a blurb or two and it always brightens my day.

I am an Australian mum of two girls 5 and 8 and a boy of 22 months living in France.

Just read your blog (through badmothers on ninemsn) and wanted to let you know you have made me feel so good and so normal. I was lucky enough to have two super easy girls but my son is sooooo challenging. I now realise he is normal and thank God that there are other mothers who react and feel the same way as I do.

Thankyou to you  from a mother on the other side of the world for making her feel like a real mother rather than a bad mother.

Melissa.

Delivering hope to those of us on the frontline of the parenting battlefield, the MadCow Diaries have helped mums like me realise that there are no perfect parents (and if there are they are incredibly stressed strange people) - it's okay to do it your way without the guilt ;)  And you are not alone.
