As you are probably well aware, I’m embarking on a little bit of adventure later this year.
If you don’t know, where have you been?!?!?!?
Because I’m doing this, I’ve also been sharing photographs of my wandering around various places, often with my family in tow, cleverly disguised as a Family Day and hashtagged MadCowsSANETrain (or if you want to follow along at home on one of the many social media platrforms availabale, you could try #MadCowSANETrain and, if you like #FamilyDay)
Now, I am taking full advantage of the fact I’m training for my inspired aventure to post multiple selfies and invent hashtags to use. I admit it. You got me.
However, I’m not just doing this for SANE Australia.
I’m also doing this for my very own sanity, and for the wellbeing of those around me; my family, my work colleauges and everyone else, really.
I found a quote that sums it up far better than I ever can …
Food is the most widely abused anti-anxiety drug, and exercise is the most potent and underutilised anti-depressant.
I don’t want to get into some sort of nit-picky debate about the exact wording of that phrase, nor some sort of pharmacological-discussion about pros and cons, or what the best anti-depressant is. I know some people have their views, and I firmly believe that it is a combination of things that help (and contribute to) depression.
