I’ve been called many things in my time, for various reasons … Lazy bitch (when I deigned to have my second c-section), Worst Mother In the World (when I said “no” to my then five year old – how dare I?), Fat Cow (again, my smartarse child … and an ex-boyfriend, before he was my ex) … to date, I don’t think I’ve been called a Mother Fucker. At least, not to my face, but I’m working on it.
I’ve been called lots of nice things, too … but it was the first one above, and variations thereof that contributed to sending me into a downward spiral that landed me in a dark, black pit that left me feeling the only way out was Death By My Own Hand.
(The Worst Mother In The World I now laugh in the face of; Mwahahahahaha. I like to add a touch of Maniac when I do it, to freak my kids out. It’s fun. Have you tried it?)
Anyhoo, what I would have given for the right kind of support at that time.
Which is one of the reasons I’m am supporting Support For Mums, who are setting up to assist mums, and their families, who are experiencing some form of circumstantial crisis; wether this be depression (postnatal or otherwise), illness of any form, sersiously ill kids or partners … basically any crisis that inhibits (or prohibits) a family from carrying out standard day-to-day tasks.
It is therefore that I do declare I am a Mother Jumper!
Yup, I have signed up to jump out of a plane to help raise funds for Support for Mums to get them off the ground and provide support for families in need. My business (Real Mums – remember them?) will be providing ongoing support in various forms.
But for now – I’m jumping!
If you’d like to support me in this (or just relish the idea of me plummeting to earth -hopefully strapped to a nice, young man) that would be super awesome – which is Awesome wearing a cape and its undies on the outside.
There are several ways in which you can do this … and all of them are equally as supportive and as much appreciated as the other.

I’ll be jumping at St Kilda at 4.00p.m.
(Ooh, just realised, I’ll be grounded in time for Wine O’Clock! Bonus!)
I have jumped before – it was terribly exciting. Have been busting to do it again (that time I jumped from 10,000 feet and not strapped to anyone).
(That time, I was also Not a Mother, and I know there’s a whole different thought process going on.)
Your support – not just for me, but for Support For Mums would mean heaps.
So, go on … I dare you …. donate, share, sign up …
