Merry Christmas from Real Mums

Just popping in quickly to wish you and your families and friends and loved ones a very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2014!

We have huge plans and hope you do to. We’re hoping everything goes amazingly for you today and that you are spoilt as rotten as you deserve.

Also just wanted to share this poem, penned by one of our awesome members, which is particularly pertinent for those of you who are having a tough time at the moment. I know lots of people are, and I thought this was beautiful and worth sharing.

‘Twas a few days before Christmas
And nothing was done
Tension was building
And there was no sign of fun.
The year had been shitty
Life had been blue
Money was scarce
And nobody knew…
Christmas was shakey
The day under threat
A miracle was needed
To see expectations were met.
But alas Mum would save it
She’s work through the night
To wrap presents for children
And make their day bright.
Food on the table
For people to eat
And everyone would comment
It was a grand and good feast,
With A few extra wrinkles
Her hair be more grey
And no one would know
How she saved the day.
She’d smile and celebrate
With full Christmas cheer
And silently later
She would shed a tear.
For no matter the struggle
The heartache and pain
To see all those smiles
She would do it again.

Thank you, Belinda, for allowing us to share this x

Merry Christmas!

(And we’re still on a break – can you tell?)
