Ah, the joys of being a work at home mum.
At least other work at home mums get where you’re coming from.
I had a meeting, scheduled weeks previously, with a supplier of products that I was interested in.
Grumpy was going to spend the day with the kids and do something with them.
Until he informs me that, no, in fact, he has booked in to do a seminar and “I’m sure I told you about it.”
Followed shortly by “Oh, well I thought I did. Sorry.”
Grrrrr. Bloody husbands!
Fortunately there was no problem having the kids tag along. From the other person’s point of view.
And fortunately, when they want to, my kids can actually behave themselves. Another thing they can both do really well is turn on the charm. Big blue eyes will do it anyway, but the manners and politeness they come out with at times is astounding.
Particularly as they never use such manners or politeness at home, nor with me when we’re out.
We ended up taking home a number of products that had been brought along for my perusal only, and I think if we’d stayed there long enough, or Monkey Boy had been just a little older, we would have taken home this poor, besotted and scammed woman’s knickers.
He can be a charmer when he wants to be.
