We’ve heard it all before, and no doubt thought it something like a bazillionty times before your first born’s half-birthday.
It has been used as an excuse, a justification, a placation, a scream, a yell, a quiet sobbing, a flippant comment and more.
“Babies/Kids don’t come with an instruction manual!”
It’s true, they don’t.
Although, my last perusal of a bookshop showed an exponential increase in the number of tomes telling you how to raise children, imparting information on children’s behaviour and development, and how you ‘should’ behave as a parent.
A significant majority of them, I’m willing to guess in excess of 97% if not more of them, were focussed entirely on the child and how
