Your Words Have Power, Use Them Wisely

The best analogy I can think of for raising children is to liken it to constructing a building.

There are all kinds of interpretations one can make from that analogy, but work with me here.

I think of it as having a solid foundation from which to build upon, a stable base that will result in resilient, intelligent, resourceful and respectful future citizens of our society.

(Ones that will be building our cities and wiping our bums in nursing homes in years to come.)

I believe that strong foundation, or perhaps the scaffolding, or whatever building analogy you like to use, is the parents.
