This e-book is by Real Mums for Real Mums, and I had a huge hand in creating it. By which I mean, I created it. With some imput and feedback from other Real Mums.
The concept in itself isn’t new. There’s been a recipe for a 5 Minute chocolate mug cake doing the email rounds for a while now.
Anyhoo, here it is:
5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts (high). The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don’t be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous). And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!
Meh. We tried it. It was pretty good actually. But … well, I personally needed more! As did some of my colleagues. After many, many trials and errors and weeks of eating several 5 minute mug cakes every day, we not only perfected this recipe and made it just that much better, but another six mug cake recipes were developed!
Hurrah! And there was much rejoicing and more eating of mug cake! You can own your own copy and get making awesome 5 minute mug cakes, right NOW!
We specifically used a Real Mums Escape MUG, which was just perfect for this particular experiment and ongoing desserts.
Here’s what is being said about them:
Mmm. Fluffy and lovely and yum! Jessica
